The Prugna di Gallinaro tree is distinguished by vigorous growth, adaptability to local conditions, and stable productivity. The plant belongs to a group of local populations historically cultivated in the Lazio region.
The fruits have an elongated shape and are medium to large in size. The skin is colored an intense yellow, the flesh is yellowish-white and moderately sweet, and the stone adheres to the flesh. The ripening period usually occurs in the third ten-day period of July, with harvest possible from June to September.
The variety is hardy and rustic. The recommended planting density is 4–5 meters between rows and 3–4 meters between trees.
