The Prugna 29 variety, also known as Lorida Prugna 29, was bred as a result of a breeding program at the University of Bologna. Genetically, the variety is a product of crossing "French Improved" and "Stanley".
The maturity period is characterized as medium-late, occurring three days after the "Stanley" variety. The fruits have a universal purpose and are suitable for drying and industrial cultivation.
