The tree has medium vigor and forms a dense pyramidal crown with brittle, vertically growing branches. The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinator varieties such as Althann ringló, Ageni or Cacanska rana. Yield is characterized as medium and variable.
The round-shaped fruits ripen in the second half of July. The skin is covered with a waxy bloom, the flesh has a golden-yellow or yellow-green color and a sweet taste with a spicy aroma, the stone separates well. The variety shows tolerance to Plum pox virus and low sensitivity to Polystigma rubrum.
The plum is primarily used fresh and is also suitable for culinary processing. The variety has a number of historical synonyms, including Nápolyi szilva, and botanically belongs to the group Prunus x italica convar. claudiana.
