The variety is early to mid-early: fruit ripening begins in the second half of August, and flowering is observed at the end of April or the beginning of May. The fruit is large, oval or round in shape, and blue-red or red-violet in color. The flesh is yellow, firm, and sweet; the stone separates well.

The tree is characterized by vigorous growth at a young age and forms a medium-sized spherical crown. Contradictory data regarding growth vigor and productivity depending on growing conditions can be found in old sources.

The variety is versatile and suitable for fresh consumption, making jams, baking, drying, and the production of alcoholic beverages. In historical literature, the variety is found under the synonyms Schönberger Zwetsche, Ruhm von Schöneberg, or Rotgefleckte Goldpflaume.
