The variety originates from the northern regions of China. The tree forms a dense compact crown, reaching a height of 2–4 meters. The plant possesses high winter hardiness, withstanding frosts down to -40 °C, and is characterized by resistance to diseases, in particular to plum spot.
Fruits ripen in August–September and are distinguished by their juiciness and sweet taste. The skin of the fruits varies from purple to purple-blue in color. The variety is partially self-fertile; for a stable yield, cross-pollination with other plum varieties blooming in a similar period is recommended.
