Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a local Portuguese autochthonous type formed as a result of long-term folk selection. The fruits are characterized by a small round size, a high level of soluble solids, antioxidants, dietary fiber, and phenolic compounds. The variety is promising for drying and fresh consumption, however, it has a low yield potential.

Fruit ripening occurs in early August. The plant has low susceptibility to major phytosanitary problems, including fire blight. Due to the short post-harvest storage period, the fruits are considered perishable.
