The variety belongs to the group of early summer or early autumn pears with harvest from the end of August. The tree is characterized by moderate vigor and forms an open canopy with upward-directed branches. The variety is demanding regarding growing conditions: it requires a warm, sunny location and fertile, drained soil.

The fruits are pear-shaped, with thin skin that changes color from green to yellow upon ripening, often with a blush and spotting. The fruit flesh is white, buttery, suitable for fresh consumption, but has a short shelf life. In breeding, the variety is known as a donor of the early maturity trait.
