The variety matures in late September — early October. The fruits have an asymmetrical, ovate-pyriform or obtuse-conical shape. The skin at maturity is light green, gradually becoming light yellow, with characteristic dots and a bloom. The flesh is white, juicy and melting, and has a delicate aroma and pleasant taste.

The tree is moderately growing and productive, suitable for cultivation on vigorous rootstocks and on quince. The variety shows some requirements for growing conditions; yields may vary depending on the region.

The variety is also known by the names Belle Lucrative, Fondante d'Automne and Seigneur d'Esperen. It is an independent European variety, which should not be confused with Eastern European folk varieties of the Bergamot group.
