Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is ancient; its exact origin is unknown. It is widely distributed in the Piedmont region of Italy. Some pomologists have drawn parallels between this pear and the Pirum Falernum variety mentioned as early as Ancient Rome, however, there is no direct evidence of this connection.

The variety belongs to the group of autumn pears. Data on specific plant height, disease resistance, and cultivation protocols are absent from publications, as the variety is local and has not undergone modern industrial description.
