The Daynir (Farold 69) rootstock is a semi-dwarf type, comparable in vigor to the BA29 quince rootstock, but distinguished by higher development energy. The plant shows good compatibility with most cultivated pear varieties and moderate tolerance to chlorosis.

Trees on this rootstock are characterized by high resistance to lodging and moderate root sucker formation. The entry into the fruiting phase on this rootstock occurs somewhat later than when using quince clonal rootstocks.
