CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree of this variety is characterized as low- or medium-vigor. The fruits have a regular pear shape, are uniform and quite large, reaching a weight of 250–300 g. The fruit skin is golden-yellow with a slight blush; the flesh is tender, buttery, juicy, with an aromatic sweet taste and a vinous aftertaste.
The variety is a summer type and ripens in mid-August. It is characterized by a high propensity for parthenocarpy. When grown, sensitivity to fire blight, scab, and pear psylla has been noted. Due to not always good compatibility with quince during propagation, the use of an interstock is often required.
