The variety is a winter type, with harvest occurring in October, and fruits are suitable for storage until February. The origin of the variety is linked to the Holenice region in the Czech Republic.

Fruits are medium to large in size, broad-conical in shape. The skin is green-yellow, becoming yellow upon ripening with an orange or pink blush. The flesh is white, tender, buttery, juicy and sweet, with a characteristic spicy muscat aroma.

The variety possesses relative resistance to diseases and frost. It is used both for direct consumption and processing. It serves as a basis for the development of modern varieties, such as Dicolor, Amfora, Astra and Milka.
