CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree is vigorous with a dense, broadly pyramidal crown, long-lived. Scaffold branches emerge from the trunk at an acute angle but can take on a drooping shape under the weight of the crop. It enters the bearing stage in the 4–6th year after planting.
Fruits are large, with a weight of 140–250 g, of an elongated-pyriform and often asymmetrical shape. The skin is firm, light green at harvest and light yellow at maturity, sometimes with a russet stripe. The flesh is white, juicy, fine-grained, sweet and sour in taste with slight astringency.
The variety is late-autumn or early-winter; consumer maturity occurs in November–December. The tree possesses high winter hardiness and drought tolerance, requires nutrient-rich soils and the exclusion of water stagnation. The variety is self-infertile and requires cross-pollination.
