CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The variety originates from the Salento area in Italy and represents an example of local genetic diversity. Fruit of the variety may have areas with red skin coloration.
Chemical analysis shows that the fruit contains more malic, citric, and ascorbic acids compared to the 'Conference' variety. A high concentration of phenolic compounds allows the variety to be classified as a functional food.
Detailed agronomic characteristics, including maturity dates, tree parameters, and disease resistance, are not currently described in open scientific publications.
