The Pierre Cornielle tree forms a pyramidal, branched, sparse crown with curved and geniculate branches. The variety is precocious and adapted for cultivation on a trellis.

The fruits are large, weighing from 200 to 350 g, with specimens up to 700 g, and have an elongated pear-shaped form. The skin is yellow, acquiring a golden-brown hue upon ripening, sometimes with a red blush. The fruit flesh is buttery, juicy, sweet, with an almond aroma and a slight acidity.

The variety belongs to the autumn maturity group; the consumption period of the fruits lasts from September to December. It is used as a dessert variety for fresh consumption and culinary processing. It possesses winter hardiness.
