CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree is medium-sized; the crown changes shape from vertical to more spreading during development. The variety is demanding of growing conditions, soil, and moisture levels. To obtain an effective yield, the presence of pollinator varieties such as Bosc or Clapp's Favorite is required.
The fruits are medium to large in size, with a weight of 160–200 g, and are pear-shaped. Upon ripening, the skin acquires a bright red, purple, or reddish-brown color. The flesh is white, juicy, and has a pleasant taste. The variety is distinguished by a short shelf life of 1–2 weeks.
The variety is characterized as moderately resistant to major pear diseases, including scab, powdery mildew, rust, moniliosis, and fire blight. A feature is the tendency toward partial reverse mutation, during which the fruits may acquire a yellow color.
