The name Sior Matìe is used in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia as a synonym for local varieties of Pyrus domestica, alongside many other local names such as Curato, Koré di Cicigolis, Koré di Clastra, Koré di Mersino Basso, Spada, Per d’unvier, Pers Cjampanutis, Todescje, and Trampus.
This type of pear is considered in the context of preserving genetic diversity and does not have a standardized morphological description or data on breeding work.
