The Signur variety, also known as Bell, Pero Signora, and Sciur, is a traditional crop historically common in the Matera area and the Basso Sinni zone. Currently, efforts are underway to restore the cultivation of this variety, which was long used for personal needs.
The plant forms a tree of medium vigor with a spreading crown. A characteristic feature is late flowering. Detailed data on agronomic standards, disease resistance, and detailed fruit quality characteristics are absent from the sources.
