The plant is an evergreen shrub with a dense, upright growth habit. Dark green foliage serves as a background for bright yellow funnel-shaped flowers, devoid of spots and markings. The flowering period occurs in May and June.
The height of a mature shrub is 1.2–1.5 m with a width of about 1 m. The variety has frost resistance down to -20°C. The plant is used for solitary and group plantings, as well as for cultivation in tubs. It is demanding regarding cultivation conditions, including soil acidity and permeability.
