The plant has a compact, upright, and densely branchedhabit with a dense crown. The leaves are dark green and glossy, acquiring a bronze-purple or chocolate shade during the autumn-winter period.
The flowers are lavender-pink, collected in large, dense, spherical inflorescences, and have a light fragrance. Flowering occurs early, in April–May.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness and resilience. Young plants are characterized by a fast growth rate, reaching 40–50 cm in height and width in three years. It is used in ornamental gardening as a specimen plant, an element of group plantings, or flowering hedges.
