The variety is a hybrid of Rhododendron Hot Tropic and Rhododendron saxifragoides, bred to improve resistance to cool conditions. The plant is a compact shrub 50–75 cm in height with dark green glossy foliage.
The flowers are tubular in shape and soft pink in color; blooming is abundant and can be recurrent. The variety is capable of tolerating short-term frosts down to -4...-5°C, however, it is intended exclusively for container cultivation, as it is not winter hardy.
For normal development, the plant requires a well-drained acidic substrate, as well as protection from strong winds and direct scorching sun.
