Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an evergreen shrub with a dense, heavily branched crown. At the age of 10 years, it reaches a height of 1.5–2 m, eventually growing up to 2.5 m. The leaves are dense, leathery, oblanceolate, dark green and shiny, 13 to 17.5 cm long, with a pronounced felt pubescence on the underside.

Funnel-shaped flowers with wavy edges are collected in inflorescences of 10–20 pieces. In the bud stage, they have a pink tint; after opening, they become white, sometimes with a slight pink bloom and greenish-yellow spots. Flowering occurs in the period from mid-May to early June.

The plant possesses extreme frost resistance, withstanding temperature drops down to –32...–37 °C. The shrub is characterized by resistance to diseases and lodging, maintaining a harmonious shape. It is used in ornamental gardening as a specimen plant and in group plantings.
