The plant is a compact shrub with a rounded or flat crown shape and a slow growth rate. The small foliage is elliptical or oval in shape and dark green in color, which may acquire a bronze or reddish tint in winter.
The flowering period occurs in May–June. The funnel-shaped flowers are gathered in dense clusters, their color varies from red-orange to pink with a violet sheen and a dark pattern on the upper petals.
The variety is intended for cultivation in partial shade on drained, humus-rich, acidic soils with a pH level of 4.5–5.5. The plant is suitable for decorating small gardens, rockeries, and for cultivation in containers.
