The variety Uguns is a deciduous rhododendron intended for ornamental gardening. The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness, which allows it to be grown in the climatic conditions of Latvia and regions with a similar climate.
This variety is actively used in breeding as a parent form. In particular, it was used in the development of hybrids such as Pērlīte. In international classification, the name Uguns is officially accepted in the genus Rhododendron.
