The variety is a hybrid of Salix schwerinii × Salix viminalis. It is intended for energy cultivation using short-rotation forestry technology for the production of wood chips.
The plant forms long branches with a lower number of stems per bush compared to other species. The variety possesses resistance to leaf rust and has low susceptibility to insect infestation.
