A perennial plant that is most often grown as an annual in cultivation. The roots are smooth, cylindrical in shape, with dark skin and white flesh. During the growing season, the plant reaches a height of 50 cm. The full development cycle lasts from 135 to 240 days depending on growing conditions.
The variety is winter hardy, withstanding frosts down to -15...-20°C, which allows the roots to be left in the soil for winter harvest. The plant is not very susceptible to bolting and does not form hollows inside the root. To obtain a high-quality harvest, deeply tilled and loose soil is required.
