Variety description

10 August 2026

The Kingston potato variety was developed in the UK and is used in breeding programs as a parental form. In particular, it was used in the development of the Saxon variety, obtained by crossing the Kingston and Desiree varieties.

In agronomic literature, detailed morphological characteristics and data on the field traits of the Kingston variety are practically absent, as it is mentioned primarily in the context of the genealogy and origin of other potato varieties.
