The variety is classified as a Portuguese ecotype selected for Mediterranean climate conditions. The plant is intended for cultivation as a forage legume crop.

In comparative studies of forage quality, the crude protein content in the second cut was 17.11%. Data on plant height, maturity group, and resistance to diseases or lodging are absent.
