The ÖKO-10 variety, which in a number of sources is erroneously identified as OEKO 1000 due to a possible confusion of the name with the agrotechnical indicator of the thousand kernel weight, played a key role in the resumption of spelt cultivation in Hungary. In the late 90s, the area under this variety in the country increased significantly.

Available materials provide information on conducting a comparative analysis of the amino acid composition of ÖKO-10 proteins. At the same time, detailed morphological characteristics of the plant, including height, maturity dates, and resistance to lodging or diseases, are absent in the publications.
