The variety was developed under the breeding program of the Agricultural Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Martonvásár. The plant is characterized by resistance to snow mold and has been studied for resistance to aphid damage.

The variety possesses a specific biochemical grain composition, including gliadin and glutenin protein content. In field trials, the variety demonstrates yield performance comparable to modern analogs and is frequently used in experiments evaluating grain quality and photosynthetic activity.
