The variety was developed at the Agricultural Research Institute in Martonvásár, as indicated by the abbreviation "Mv" in its name. The crop is a winter common wheat and is not related to the spring varieties of the same name of Russian or other origin.
In scientific publications, the variety is most often considered within the framework of phytopathological studies. When tested against an artificial infectious background, it demonstrated a moderate degree of infection with common bunt and tan spot.
