The Zénith variety is a historic winter soft wheat variety developed by the Swiss institution Agroscope in 1969. According to professional studies of that time, the variety belonged to the second quality class and possessed specific high-molecular-weight glutenin subunit composition features.
In agronomic practice, the Zénith variety was actively used as a parental form for creating new wheat lines, similar to other Agroscope varieties of that period, such as Probus and Arina.
