Zeeuwse witte is a traditional local variety of winter soft wheat. The plant has white grain and white glumes, reaching a height of 0.5 to 0.9 meters. Under modern conditions, the variety is not industrial and is grown primarily within the framework of ecologically oriented farming using sparse seeding.
The grain of the variety is characterized as large and mealy, possessing acceptable baking qualities. In addition to its use in the production of flour and bakery products, it is applied in brewing for the manufacture of specialized regional beer varieties.
