Russulidda, also known by the name Russello, is an ancient population of durum wheat. The variety belongs to tetraploid wheats and is distinguished by the characteristic reddish tint of the grain and flour, deriving from the Italian word rosso.

Plants of this variety are tall. The variety is characterized by moderate productivity and has been historically valued for its lodging resistance and yield stability in the conditions of central Sicily.

In modern agronomy, this variety is classified as an ancient grain crop and is used in organic farming for the production of traditional bread and pasta, which are valued for their organoleptic properties, aroma, and digestibility.
