The variety is traditional and has not been subjected to industrial breeding. The plant forms a tall stem reaching 170–180 cm. The root system possesses a pronounced adaptive response to osmotic stress, which ensures resistance to drought conditions.

The grain is characterized by a high content of protein, vitamins, minerals, and beta-carotene. The flour has a pronounced yellow tint, and the gluten profile differs from modern varieties, which leads to better digestibility of the product.

The wheat is traditionally used in baking and for the production of pasta, being an important component of the Mediterranean diet.
