The variety is a fourth-generation hybrid obtained by crossing the 'Plantyn' clone with offspring of the species Ulmus minor, Ulmus glabra, and Ulmus wallichiana. The tree has smooth bark and asymmetric serrated dark green leaves with a rough underside.
The crown is formed by several steeply upward-pointing branches, forming an open amorphous structure. At a young age, the root system develops slowly, which may require the use of supports. The variety is characterized by high growth vigor and resistance to graphiosis.
