Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a hybrid of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica and Ulmus pumila. The tree reaches a height of 15–20 meters. The crown is compact, dense, pyramidal or ovoid in shape, becoming broader over time. The leaves are glossy, dark green, turning golden-yellow in the autumn. The bark of young plants is smooth, light gray, and becomes furrowed with age.

The plant possesses high resistance to Dutch elm disease, Verticillium wilt, and the elm leaf beetle. The variety is characterized by rapid growth, frost resistance, and the ability to tolerate drought, wind, and soil salinity. Young plants may show a tendency toward trunk splitting, therefore formative pruning is required. Vegetative propagation is recommended to maintain the qualities.
