This object is a clonal selection of the Vitis berlandieri x Vitis riparia hybrid group. It is used in viticulture as a rootstock for cultivars (Vitis vinifera), providing them with adaptability to specific soil types and protection against phylloxera.

The rootstock shows good graft compatibility with European grapevine cultivars and is recommended for cultivation on deep, light and medium soils capable of good warming. It is sensitive to cold and damp soils, which can trigger the development of chlorosis in grafted plants.

It is characterized by having a male flower type. The growing season lasts from 175 to 190 days, requiring a sum of active temperatures in the range of 2900–3000°C.
