The variety is an interspecific hybrid of American grape species. It is not a table or wine grape variety but is used exclusively as rootstock, providing resistance of cultivated varieties to grape phylloxera.

The bushes are characterized by vigorous growth and good adaptability to various soil types, including calcareous. The rootstock is distinguished by a high percentage of graft union formation and requires sufficient nutritional area.
