The variety was discovered in the foothills of the Roca Forcada mountain in Catalonia as part of a project to restore forgotten grape varieties. The plant is characterized by a long vegetative cycle and a horizontal vine growth habit. Harvest is typically carried out in late September – early October.
The variety is distinguished by good adaptability to high temperatures and drought. The berries are medium or small in size. It is a wine grape variety used for producing wines with pronounced aromatic intensity, freshness, mineral notes, and hints of citrus, peach, and Mediterranean herbs.
