The Floreal variety, also known under the breeding number Colmar 2700 G, is a complex interspecific hybrid. The vines possess high vigor and a semi-erect habit. The leaves are round, five-lobed and slightly dissected; the flowers are hermaphroditic.
The clusters are small and dense, with a cylindrical or cylindrical-conical shape. The berries are small, round, white in color, and covered with a waxy bloom. The variety is characterized by polygenic resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, moderate resistance to frost and black rot, and sensitivity to the grape erineum mite.
Wines from this variety are noted for their expressiveness, with aromas of exotic fruits, citrus, pear, and white flowers. These are fresh, dry white wines with good acidity; however, the variety itself is extremely demanding regarding moisture levels and exhibits high sensitivity to water stress.
