The G17-29 line is a table grape selected during the breeding program of the University of Catania. Classical hybridization methods and embryo culture techniques were used to create the hybrid.

The plant belongs to the mid-early maturity group. It is characterized by the trait of complete seedlessness and the formation of white-colored berries.
