Variety description

The variety belongs to early ripening varieties. The plant is characterized by low vigor. Leaves are rounded, five-lobed, weakly or moderately dissected, with weak pubescence on the underside. Clusters are small, cylindrical, and very dense; berries are small, dark blue, round or slightly oval.
The variety is unstable to low temperatures and shows susceptibility to Botrytis cinerea, anthracnose, rugose wood complex, and flavescence dorée. Productivity is stable but low. Wines from this variety have an intense color but differ in having less fruitiness than wines from Gamay.
