Variety description

The variety has vigorous vines with large, wide, three- or five-lobed leaves with serrated margins and a heavily pubescent shoot tip. The flowers are hermaphroditic, which ensures self-pollination.
The clusters are large and loose; the berries are large, oblong-oval, and blue-black in color. The yield of the variety is characterized as unstable due to sensitivity to ovary drop during flowering.
Wine from this variety is distinguished by a fruity, harmonious taste. The variety has the synonyms Blauer Weinsberger, Weinsberg S 5332 and Helfensteyner.
