The variety belongs to the category of wine grapes and is used to create both monovarietal wines and blends. In Madeira, the variety is used in the production of long-lived dessert wines, while in the Canary Islands, it is used to obtain aromatic white wines with notes of tropical fruits, jasmine, green almond, and mineral undertones.

Specialized agronomic descriptions of the variety in open sources are insufficient. It is known that its cultivation often requires specific vine training methods to adapt to the strong winds and volcanic soils of the islands.
