ActiveVitis vinifera L. · Common grape vine
TIMOTHY SHEEHAN
10 August 2026
The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained from crossing the varieties Madeleine Angevine and Dvietes Zilā. The bushes are characterized by strong growth and good shoot maturation. The flower is functionally female; pollinator varieties blooming in the same period are required for pollination.
The clusters are medium-sized, weighing 100–200 g, dense or medium-dense. The berries weigh 3–5 g, are round or slightly oval, and dark red, pinkish-brown, or burgundy in color. The pulp is sweet, juicy, with a fruity aroma.
The variety possesses high frost resistance down to -25...-30 °C and resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew. It is used as a table grape, as well as for winemaking and juices. Due to its strong growth, it is suitable for cultivation on arbors.
