The variety has moderate vigor and an upright or semi-upright shoot growth habit. It is characterized by an early or mid-season maturity period; due to early bud burst, the vine is vulnerable to spring frosts. The variety prefers a warm and dry climate.
Bunches and berries are medium-sized, sometimes small and compact. The berry skin is thin, the color varies from light green to golden, and mutations into pink or red shades are possible. The variety is susceptible to fungal diseases, such as powdery mildew and grey mold.
Yield is moderate. When restricted, the variety is capable of accumulating high sugar levels while maintaining balanced acidity. The aroma of the wines features notes of citrus, peach, apricot, lychee, mango, rose, mint, honey, and spices.
