The variety is of French origin and belongs to the species Vitis vinifera. The leaf is pentagonal, five-lobed, medium to deeply cleft. Clusters are medium to large in size, conical or cylindro-conical in shape, and medium-dense. Berries are medium-sized, round or slightly oval, dark blue in color, covered with a waxy bloom, with juicy pulp and medium-density skin.

The plant is characterized by high yield and vigorous growth. The variety shows good resistance to winter frosts, powdery mildew, gray mold, and spring frosts due to late bud burst, however, it is susceptible to downy mildew. Shoots are prone to breakage in strong winds.
