Variety description

The variety has a medium ripening period and is characterized by high vine vigor. The flower is hermaphroditic. The leaf is large, round or wedge-shaped, deeply lobed into five or seven lobes, with weak to medium pubescence on the underside.

The cluster is very large, cylindrical-conical in shape, and medium-dense. The berry is large, round, dark blue, almost black in color, and covered with a thick waxy bloom. The skin is of medium thickness, and the pulp is fleshy and juicy with a neutral taste.

The variety is characterized by high yield and responds well to short pruning. It has susceptibility to Botrytis cinerea, and is moderately sensitive to Oidium and sour rot. Genetically, it is the result of a natural cross between the Macabeo variety and an unknown variety.
