Leaves are medium-sized, rounded, medium- or deeply dissected, with 3 or 5 lobes and a coarsely wrinkled surface. The flower is hermaphroditic. The cluster is small or medium, cylindrical or cylindrical-conical, weighing 80–100 g. Berries are medium-sized, rounded, greenish-white with a yellowish tint and dark spots, covered with a thin but firm skin.

The variety is late-ripening and is characterized by late bud break, which helps protect against spring frosts, and high frost resistance. The plant is susceptible to powdery mildew, gray mold, crown gall, and coulure.

Used exclusively for wine production. Young wines possess notes of citrus, apples, pears, peaches, and flowers; during aging, mineral or petrol tones often develop in the wines.
